I design and run hands-on knee courses for surgeons across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
I started as a scrub nurse in the UK, spent seven years in the field with Johnson & Johnson in Spain, and since 2025 I have worked in Professional Education at the Johnson & Johnson Institute in Solothurn. What I teach comes from what I saw at the table.

My courses Six doors, six ways I teach
Each cabinet holds a course or programme I run. Open a door to see the implant, how many courses I ran in 2026, how many surgeons came, and what they said.
Click a door to open it. Esc closes it.Swipe to see all six, then tap a door.

Live Case Observation Every request, handled
Surgeons from across the region ask to watch an expert faculty surgeon operate. I take every request, match it with the right faculty and see it through to the day in theatre.

I am organising a shoulder symposium for more than 100 surgeons to celebrate the anniversary of the DELTA XTEND reverse shoulder system. This is everything that goes into it. Details are sample

Latest from DePuy Synthes and why it matters here
The news that changes what surgeons ask me about on my courses, straight from DePuy Synthes.
VELYS Hip Navigation with AI launches in the US
Software on the VELYS Hub that uses AI to read images and find anatomical landmarks in total hip replacement, with real-time leg length, offset and cup position. The surgeon keeps the final say.
Why it matters hereVELYS is growing beyond the knee: it is the platform surgeons work on in my VELYS Advanced course.
Miniature radiofrequency tracking for the VELYS ecosystem
DePuy Synthes agreed to acquire rights to Gemtrack, a tracking technology for shoulder, hip and knee designed to replace line-of-sight infrared and bulky pinned arrays, pending development and regulatory approval.
Why it matters hereFewer pins and arrays would change the robotic workflow surgeons practise with me.
Hands-on knee courses at the Johnson & Johnson Institute in Solothurn: Introduction to Kinematic Alignment on ATTUNE, VELYS Advanced, Sigma Partial Knee, and the new ATTUNE Revision pilot. I also coordinate Live Case Observations across EMEA.
How does a surgeon join a course?
Courses are by invitation, through the DePuy Synthes team in each country. This site does not take registrations.
Where do the courses take place?
At the Johnson & Johnson Institute in Solothurn, Switzerland, on the EMEA campus: an anatomy lab, practical rooms and a 130-seat auditorium.
What is a Live Case Observation?
A visit in which a surgeon watches an expert faculty surgeon operate on real cases in theatre. I match each request with the right faculty and technique, agree the dates and follow up afterwards.
How is an LCO requested?
Through the local DePuy Synthes team, who send the request to me. In 2026 requests came from 21 markets, from India and the Middle East to the UK.
Can I teach as faculty?
Write to me and I will tell you how faculty are chosen for each course.
Is this an official DePuy Synthes site?
No. It is my personal site and the views here are my own.
